Peter Harmer is a motor manual cutter
with over twenty years experience. He leads the cutting in Childer
Wood and is a highly experienced and knowledgeable forester. He
teaches chain saw courses in Childer Wood, some run in partnership
with the Green Wood
Centre, and he also teaches at Pershore College. All courses
are externally assessed and offer a qualification that is internationally
recognised.
Tuition
in all aspects of chain saw use is offered from maintenance, cross
cutting and manual stacking (CS30), through felling small diameter
trees (CS31) through to........
Cost
of group courses includes external NPTC accreditation
Peter
offers NPTC accredited courses, starter courses and refreshers in
both small groups and individually.
Chain
Saw Carving courses are also available. CS30 and 31 are pre-requisites.

Participants of all courses to supply working chain saw in good
operational condition with appropriate safety features and full
PPE including ear and eye protection, chain saw safety trousers,
gloves and boots, non-snag outer clothing and personal first aid
