Hansnett Farm is a family owned working rare breeds farm. It is closest to the wood, 1/2 a mile away over the road between Childer Wood and Hansnett Wood. Breeders of Devon Red Poll cattle and Shropshire sheep. It is about 1 mile towards the A417 from Childer Wood. Childer Wood used to be one of the estate owned woodlands. David and Sandra used to run the Verzons Hotel when it was highly rated (unlike now!) and have renovated a timber framed barn (using Childer Wood timber for this and for their house!) to make a high quality but still reasonably priced B+B.
